Pre-Permanent Cosmetic Checklist
Eyeglasses and NOT contact lenses should be worn to appointments involving cosmetic eyeliner procedures.
If you have any allergies to the following, please check with your doctor before scheduling an appointment: Antibiotics, soaps, metals, cosmetics, or numbing agents (caine derivatives).
It is imperative that clients must be off Retin A or similar products thirty days prior to all procedures and Accutane for one year prior to all procedures.
If you have any condition that requires you to take antibiotics prior to going to the dentist, it is a good idea to check with your doctor prior to your permanent makeup procedure.
If you have ever had (even if years ago) a fever blister, cold sore, or shingles, it is recommended you obtain a prescribed antiviral medication from your doctor or dentist. Fever blisters are a very common side effect of lip tattooing.
Only use new mascara, lipstick or any makeup that may come in contact with the area after all procedures. It is important to prevent secondary infection by being exposed to bacteria.
If you have had recent eye surgery, it is recommended that you consult with your physician before receiving any cosmetic procedure near your eyes.
Clients may be more sensitive if they are premenstrual during a procedure. Tylenol can be taken before cosmetic procedures.
Blood thinning medications (including Aspirin, Ibuprofen, NSAIDs) may increase bleeding during procedure. It is recommended to avoid them for 48 hours prior to procedure if possible.
It is important to not to have sunburn prior to and after any procedures. This includes tanning beds.
It is not recommended to book an appointment less than 30 days before any major events like a vacation, social events or weddings. This will allow sufficient time for healing and softening of the tattooed area.
